First of all I'm sad. I lost a fellow blogger buddy. I don't know where they went or why. I don't know what I did. So, sorry if I offended you. I'm also sorry if I haven't visited your blog lately. I have a lot on my plate and some things must be put on the back burner. I have not commented as much as I would like but with revisions and critiques---well they come first. It's not that I don't love you guys, I have goals that I must meet. I will be visiting as many blogs as I can soon with comments. So that said-- on with a fun post.
I have gotten some lovely awards from some sweet bloggers. I'm trying to figure out a filmstrip type display to show these awards but I haven't sat down and figured it out yet. If you have any pointers let me know. I would love to give these awards to all of you but I had to pick some people. :)

I kicked a follow in the face the other day! And by that I mean they were obviously a spammer so I blocked them. :-)

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the awards and don't stress about the follower. I lose them regularly. I just tell myself that the person shut down their blogger account and it can't have anything to do with me, lol. I'm good at deluding myself when necessary. :)

ReplyDeleteYour right those are some wonderful blogs. I'll go check out the ones I don't follow yet. Several have mentioned losing followers lately. I wouldn't take it personally. Sometimes people get overwhelmed and that's how they pull back.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your awards! Don't worry about losing a follower, I am sure it wouldn't be because of anything you have done - more than likely they quit blogging, or are scaling down what they do. As Karen says, don't take it personally. There are still plenty here who want to play!

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't worry too much about the lost follower. Sometimes, people's interests just change. And revisions is much more important than reading blog and comment.
You'll probably gain an even better blogger buddy in that one's place.
ReplyDeleteAll you can do is all that you're doing! If someone chooses not to follow you any more, don't take it personally. Just take pride in the fact that you have as many followers as you do - there will be more in the future!

ReplyDeleteI think some follow and unfollow for reasons we can't fathom. I lost one this morning, but gained two since then. It's that "You win some, you lose some" following philosophy.

ReplyDeleteso, we can take comfort and know that someone just stepped out of the blogosphere and left all of us .. that it was not personal.
and, it happens. one comes, one goes and it is okay for that number to be fluid.

ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the blogger buddy, either they were an early addition that not longer has an interest in the writing craft, or sometimes enthusiastic bloggers unfollow and refollow as a way of putting their profile pic back at the front so viewers will see them, so they might be back soon.
Christine, if you're like me, you wonder if by action or inaction, you may have unintentionally hurt someone. As a harried blood courier with dreams of being published, I have so little time to visit my friends' blogs as much as I would want.
